Depending on the type of probe or transducer used, some fine-tuning can be required
to adjust the distance between probes. Also, some situations may require the surface
being inspected to be off-centered between the probes (see “Probe Holders
Adjustment and Maintenance” on page 25).
All wedge-probe assemblies must be correctly positioned on the surface being
inspected.
All carbide wear pins should be flush with the wedge surface (see Figure 2-9 on
page 28).

Simply push or pull the scanner in the desired inspection direction.
If the inspection surface is a ferromagnetic material, there is no need to push down on
the scanner to prevent lift-off—the magnetic wheels hold the scanner against the
surface.
