4. Operating the HSMT-Flex Scanner

The HSMT-Flex scanner is designed to be used manually. It is simple to operate.

To operate the scanner

1.

Hold the scanner above the inspection surface, and align the scanner so that the 
inspection area is centered between the probes or transducers (see Figure 4-1 on 
page 41).

2.

With the inspection area centered between the probes or transducers, bring the 
scanner’s wheels in contact with the inspection surface.
