6. Remove the eight screws around the lower edge of the case
( Fig. 3I ).
7. Ensure that the ribbon cable is still connected to the display.
Carefully lift off the upper case and rotate it 180º, pivoting
around the ribbon cable in the front. Set the rotated case down
in front of the scale (
Fig. 3J ). (Display panel now faces rear.)
8. Internal components are now exposed to allow troubleshooting
measurements (see Problems & Solutions on page 3-9).
CAUTION: To avoid risk of electrical shock, when unit is
disassembled, use battery power for troubleshooting
whenever possible.
9. Reassemble the scale in reverse order of disassembly.
CAUTION: Smart Scale must be recalibrated after it has
been disassembled and reassembled (see
Calibration
on page 3-1).
