Text Messages

JOY

Text Messages

You can use the mobile phone to send and receive text messages
(SMS).

NOTE

It is possible that not all functions described are supported by ev
ery mobile service provider. Therefore, please contact your local
mobile service provider for details.

Writing text messages

You can use the function to write short text messages:

Navigate to

Messages

Write

Enter your text.

Select

Options

Sendto

Enter the necessary phone number.

Alternatively, select

FromPhonebook

and then the required phone

book contact.

Select

Options

Send

. The text message is sent.

NOTE

A standard text message contains 160 characters. Extra costs
may be incurred for texts in excess of 160 characters.

Inbox

The text messages received are stored in the inbox.

If you have received a text message but not read it yet, the LED
above the screen display flashes green.

View

Open the text message to read the content.

Navigate to

Messages

Inbox

Select the required text message.

Select

Options

View

. The text message is opened.

Send a reply to the sender of the text message received.

Select the required text message.

Enter your text.
