Putting the Telephone into Operation
Your phone is comprised of a phone base and a cable-connected telephone receiver.
Connect the phone base and telephone receiver to each other as described in this
chapter.
Inserting the Batteries
The phone can only work when the batteries have been inserted properly. The batteries
(3 x AAA batteries, 1.5 V) are not included in the package supplied. Disconnect the tele-
phone connection cable from the phone base when inserting/changing the batteries.
1
Remove the battery compartment cover from the phone base.
2
Insert the batteries as illustrated in the battery compartment, paying attention to
correct polarity.
The time and date appear in the display.
3
Replace the battery compartment cover on the phone base. The battery compart-
ment cover latches audibly in place.
The batteries must be removed in the reverse sequence.
Installing the Telephone on a Wall (Option)
You can install your phone on a wall.
Choose a position to install it which is easily accessible.
Warning! Risk of serious injuries through damaging cables or pipes!
During installation, pay attention to the possibility of cables and gas pipes
running in the walls. We are not deemed liable for installation errors. If in
doubt, contact a specialist!
1
Ensure that there are no electric cables, gas or water pipes near the installation
location.
2
Drill two holes about 113 mm apart, one under the other, at the intended installation
location.
3
Insert the appropriate dowels.
4
Insert the screws in the drill holes. Pay attention that the screws project about 3 mm
from the wall.
5
Fit the recesses on the rear of the phone over the screws to fix the phone on the
wall.
