Operation of the tester
To activate the device, use the
ON/OFF
switch.
When the device is turned ON the screen is lit
and the main menu is shown.
Install the detector under test on the testers
base as shown in figure 2
.
To highlight a different option use the keys
«2»
and
«8»
and to select it press
«
Enter
»
The options available are the following
:

CHANGE ADDRESS
(Figure
3).
Using this
selection we can change the address of the
detector under test
.
In the area with the label OLD we can see the
current address of the detector
.
Now we can enter the new address using the
keys
«0»
to
«9».
For example, if we want the address 10 then
we must enter
0-1-0.

COMMUNICATION
(
Figure 4)
.
Used to test
the communication with the detector under
test
.
This option contains the address of the detector
under test, its type, flag and value
.
If the value
is above 100 then the detector has issued an
alarm.
Finally there are counters that are used to
show the good or bad communication between
the tester and the detector under test
.
With the
«
Enter
»
key we can reset the
counters.
Keep in mind that a detector is considered to
have good communication if it has at least
1000 good packets and 0 error packets.
