Backing up your music library (OPUS only)
The hard-drives used are of the best quality and from renowned manufacturers, yet still hard-
drives are known to run into problems and we highly recommend for you to make a backup
copy of your music and metadata to an external hard-drive. Use an external USB hard-drive
that has at least the same capacity as your OPUS, we recommend at least 25% more capacity.
The music, metadata and CD reference database will be packaged into a number of files in true
archiving fashion that can be seen on other computers but not read due to copyright protection.

BACKUP: Follow these simple steps:
1. When prompted connect an external hard disk to the USB port on the back of the
OPUS. Note that the hard disk needs to be formatted in FAT32, EXT3 or EXT2 format for

a background process going on. Please note the backup may take a significant amount
of time depending on the size of your hard-drive, up to five or six hours. No music CDs
can be imported at this time, you can though listen to music.
3. When done you will see a pop-up that confirms the successful backup.

RESTORE: In the case something should be amiss with your OPUS hard-drive, use
the backup copy to reload your music library to your OPUS:
1.1. When prompted connect the external hard disk to the OPUS, and continue to the next
step, restoring the music library and CD reference database (of course as to when
both were last backed up). Depending on how many files there are, this may take a
