• When you press [USER NAME], [NEW PASSWORD]
or [RETYPE NEW PASSWORD], the on-screen
keyboard is displayed.
For details of the on-screen keyboard, see the

• The input password appears as asterisks (*) in the
[NEW PASSWORD] and [RETYPE NEW PASSWORD]
boxes.
802.1X SETTINGS
You can make settings for IEEE 802.1X authentication that will
apply to wired networks.
This equipment supports the following authentication methods:
• EAP-MSCHAPv2
• EAP-MD5
• EAP-TLS
• PEAP

The following protocols are available for inner
authentication:
- EAP-MSCHAPv2
• EAP-TTLS
The following protocols are available for inner
authentication:
- PAP
- CHAP
- EAP-MSCHAPv2
- EAP-MD5
*1 PEAP cannot be used for Windows Server 2008.
To enable IEEE 802.1X authentication, you must install
certificates in this equipment as required, using TopAccess.
The certificates that must be installed are as follows.
*1 The CA certificate must be installed in this equipment before the
settings for IEEE 802.1X authentication are performed.
*2 The user certificate must be installed in this equipment before the
settings for IEEE 802.1X authentication are performed.
