Checking Calibration

Before using the balance, calibration
should be checked. The balance has been
calibrated before shipment, however, it
could be influenced by factors such as:

Variations in the earths gravitational
field at different latitudes of the world.

Rough handling.

Changes in work location.

Height above sea level.

To check the balance’s calibration, place
a known mass on the center of the pan and
read the displayed weight.

If the displayed weight differs from the
known weight by more than acceptable
limits, refer to the Calibration Menu and
the Specifications at the rear of the manual.
