General overview of functions
Softcontrol Data/F takes soft water in the bypass at the outlet of a water softener, depending on
the process, determines it and evaluates the residual hardness at the specified limit value. The
measurements are carried out with a selective sensor for calcium and magnesium ions, which
is inserted pressure-proof into a flow measuring chamber.
Upstream shut-off valves regulate the extraction of minimal process water quantities and the
subsequent pressure-free drainage of the water sample. Additional reagents and consumables
are not required.
The measuring system calibrates itself through cyclical automatic switchover from soft water
to raw water.
