10. If CO

 is present in the gas bag, the Dräger tube will turn purple. Record 

the stain length in units marked on the Dräger tube and include any faint 

blue tinge color that may develop as part of the total stain reading. For 

more accurate results, the darkened length should fill more than half of 

the total length of the tube. Therefore, the filtrate sample volume must be 

carefully selected.
