COMPACT INVERTER STICK

WELDER 110V 70A

2/18

2018 OEMTOOLS

4.  Turn the Welder Power to ON.
5.  Holding the Electrode Holder by the insulated handle,

slowly bring the end of the electrode to the desired

starting point of the weld. When the electrode contacts

the workpiece, an arc will be produced.

NOTE:

Thoroughly read and understand warnings regarding

protective equipment and clothing prior to this step.
6.  When the weld is completed, distance the Electrode

Holder from the workpiece. This will terminate the

electric arc.

7.  Turn the Welder to OFF.
8.  Unplug the Welder from the power source.

DUTY CYCLE

To avoid damage and personal injury, DO NOT weld for

longer than the prescribed Duty Cycle Time.

Rated Duty Cycle

Duty Cycle Time

25% @ 70A

2.5 Seconds per 10 Second Interval

60% @ 65A

6 Seconds per 10 Second Interval

100% @ 50A

10 Seconds per 10 Second Interval

HELPFUL TIPS

1.  Thoroughly clean surfaces prior to welding. Brush or

sand off all paint, adhesive and oxidation.

2.  Weld at a constant pace. Abrupt motions or speed

changes will change the weld quality and depth.

3.  Remove slag with chipping hammer to expose the weld.
4.  Adjust amperage to accommodate metal thickness.

In general:

   a.  Thicker or harder metals require higher amperage

to establish a proper/strong weld.

   b.  Thinner or softer metal require lower amperage to

establish a proper/strong weld.

5.  Adjust welding speed to accommodate metal thickness.

In general:

   a.  Thicker or harder metals require longer contact to

establish a proper/strong weld.

   b.  Thinner or softer metals require shorter intervals of

contact to establish a proper/strong weld.

6.  To maintain electric arc, the electrode should not be

removed to a distance larger than the diameter of the

electrode in use. For example, if a 3/32" diameter

electrode is used, a distance less than 3/32" is needed

to maintain arc.

7.  This machine is recommended for welding steel/metal

up to 1/8" thick.
