Installation Instructions: OCENS Optimizer Wifi Bridge to
Satellite Phones and Docking Stations
1.
Remove the Optimizer from its packaging and screw the Optimizer’s wifi antenna
onto the Optimizer.
2.
Plug the Optimizer into your power source. A blue light on the top of the box should
engage to confirm power.
3.
If Fleet Broadband, BGAN or OpenPort, plug the Ethernet cable from your satellite
equipment into the Optimizer SAT port and the Ethernet cable from your computer
into the Optimizer LAN port (if using this approach, skip to step 7)
4.
If other devices, a second blue light engages when the WLAN connection is con-
firmed.
DO NOT PLUG IN YOUR USB CABLE TO THE OPTIMIZER UNTIL THE WLAN LIGHT IS LIT.

AFTER the blue WLAN light appears, plug in the USB cable from your satellite phone
or dock. A third blue light (USB) begins to flash as the unit establishes a connection to
your USB-based phone (or dock) and moves to solid when this connection is
confirmed;

Identify & link to the Optimizer wifi link posted by your computer, iPad or
smartphone in their respective wifi settings. It will be the wifi link labeled

Your Optimizer is now ready to use. However, you must setup OCENS Mail, WeatherNet
4+ or GRIB Explorer Plus for the iPad to properly use the device. These setup instructions
