VI. TROUBLESHOOTING 

 

Please check the following before contacting a professional electrician: 

 

Faults

 

Possibles causes

 

Solutions

 

The air conditioner 
does not function.

 

•

 Is it switched on? 

•

 Turn it on. 

•

 Is it plugged in 

properly? 

•

 Connect the cable and 

plug to a socket properly. 

•

 Is the fuse or circuit 

breaker failed?  

•

 Replace the fuse or 

reset the circuit breaker. 

•

 Has a timer been set? 

•

 Change timer setting. 

•

 Is the water tank full? 

•

 Drain water. 

The appliance 
doesn’t cool 
effectively.   

•

 Is one of the air outlet 

been blocked?  

•

 Unblock the outlet(s). 

•

 Is there any other 

heating source available 
in the room? 

•

 Remove all other 

heating sources. 

•

 Are the filters dirty?  

•

 Clean the filters. 

•

 Is the set temperature 

appropriate? 

•

 Change the temperature 

setting. 

•

 Is the fan set at slow 

speed? 

•

 Select an appropriate 

speed. 

The appliance 
produces excess 
noise and 
vibrates.

 Is the appliance 

inclined? Is it placed on 
flat ground?
