NuPro Camera Quick Start Guide
First, open the waterproof hatch.
It is opened by moving the two sliding locks
toward the center of the hatch and lifting
the hatch out of its socket. If you have
trouble using your ngernail, use a coin
or a key to pry it. To close the hatch push
it back rmly in place and slide the two
locks back toward the ends of the hatch.
Make sure there is no dirt, hairs, sand,
or anything else. in the hatch when you close it
.
Insert the Micro SDHC Card
Open the hatch to install
an sd card. into the sd
slot. The shiny contacts
on the card should face
down and toward the front of the
camera. Avoid touching the shiny
contacts with your ngers. To set
the card in place, press it against the spring at the bottom of the slot
until it catches . Using your ngernail for the purpose is generally easy.
To remove the card, depress the card with your ngernail again and
allow the card to come up slowly
.
Charging the battery
Your Nupro battery will be partially charged when you take it out of
the box. Connect your USB cable to the USB port under the hatch to
your power source using the Power Converter If you prefer, you can
connect the USB cable directly to a USB port on your computer
The red charge light located beneath the hatch cover will stay bright
during the entire charging period. The battery condition indicator is in
the lower right corner of your viewing screen, located at the back of the
camera. The battery will last longer if you fully charge it after each use.
Setting the various camera settings, functions,
parameters and menu choices

This guide is for those of you who want to start taking pictures before
you read the instruction manual which you can nd on the website at
http://nuprocamera.com. The NuPro camera contains a myriad of
special features and functions to allow you to control how your nal
images will appear. It also has a built-in computer function to set
everything automatically for you if you so desire
Video filming
The camera will boot up automatically in video mode. You are
immediately ready to lm when the camera turns on. To begin lming

and the blue blinking pilot light on top of the camera will indicate it is
lming. Your camera will record sound while it is recording video. To

Taking still photos

To switch from video mode to photo mode

place an icon of a camera in the upper left corner of your viewing
screen. You are instantly ready to take photos. Each time you

Recording sound
You will record sound when in video mode. To record sound only,

Viewing your images

The viewing screen will give you more than just a view of the picture
you are about to take. It will show you the various settings and
conditions of the camera as you use it. Superimposed over the picture
are details in the four corners of the screen. The lower right will show
you the condition of the battery. The upper right will show you if you
have a card in the camera. The upper left will show you the mode you
are in. The rest of the information such as settings, date, running
time etc will be displayed in the various corners depending on where
the information will t. This will be made clear a bit later.
The Viewing Screen
Using the various camera settings, functions, parameters and menu
choices is all accomplished by switching modes. Each mode will give
you a different menu of choices that is appropriate for that mode.
The modes are indicated by the following icons which will be visible
in the upper left corner of the viewing screen

image to showing a drop down
menu as shown at the right.
You will notice there are two icons at the top of the screen. The icon of
the movie camera is highlighted, indicating the menu is for video
settings. The “wrench” icon (representing tools) is used to set camera
settings rather than image settings. Camera setting include such
things as date, language, anti-shake,format, and so on. You can nd
details in the NuPro Instruction Manual, available on the website.
Note about using your NuPro with a computer: When
connecting the camera to a computer with the USB
cable to read the files on the Micro card, the camera
must be turned on for the computer to recognize it.
