6 BOAT01 Deployment
CAUTION:
DO NOT use any
POWER CABLES
as a tether.
The
POWER EXTENSION CABLE
is NOT designed to take
the strain of tethering the
BOAT01 BUOY
to the vessel.
Attaching the Ocean Guardian 6 Metre (19'8")
Power Extension Cable
If the optional
POWER EXTENSION CABLE
has been purchased
for use with the
BOAT01 BUOY
it can be attached to the
POWER
CONNECTOR
on the
POWER MODULE
for continual in-water use.
Always securely tether the
BOAT01 BUOY
using a rope and not
the
POWER EXTENSION CABLE
.
Deployment from a Vessel
When deploying the device:
1. Securely attach a tethering rope to the handle on the
BOAT01 BUOY
before deploying the device from a vessel.
2. Lower the
BOAT01 BUOY
and
ANTENNA
into the water
and secure the device to the vessel using the rope.
