Indicate whether the originals are 1 or 2-sided (from the glass platen only
1-sided originals can be scanned).

Press ‘Book binding’ or ‘Calendar binding’ to select the icon representing the
orientation of information and the binding of your original page(s). See figure
6 on page 20.

For an original on the glass platen only: open the ’Digital document’ section
and select the required page size.
Note:
Make sure that the orientation of the original on the glass platen
corresponds with the orientation of the selected page size.

Select other settings as required, e.g. reduction or enlargement.

Press the combine button ( ).
Note:
You may need to enter a number and/or press the start button to
confirm the file name. This depends on the scan profile selected for this job.
If so, this will be indicated on the display.

Place the next set of originals in the automatic document feeder or align the
next original on the glass platen.

Select required settings.

Press the combine button ( ).

Repeat steps 10 through 12 for each next set or original.

When finished, press the start button ( ) to indicate the end of the job.

Press the start button ( ) once more to confirm the end of the job.
Note:
The person in charge of the Océ 31x5E may have deselected the request
for confirmation.
