1. Wireless & networks.
1.1. Flight mode. This option disables all wireless connections;
1.2. Wi-Fi. If you select this checkbox the device will start to search
for Wi-Fi networks;
1.3. Wi-Fi settings. You can configure your Wi-Fi connections in this
submenu. It consists of:
•
Wi-Fi turn on/off;
•
Network notification. This option will notify you of available
networks;
•
Add Wi-Fi network.
You can scan available Wi-Fi networks by bringing up the context
menu and selecting ‘Scan’.
To configure additional parameters bring up the context menu and
select ‘Advanced’. Here you can find:
•
Regulatory domain. Setting the number of channels to
use;
•
Wi-Fi sleep policy. Selects the time to switch from Wi-Fi to
standby mode;
•
MAC address. Shows your current MAC address.
Also in this point of ‘Settings’ you can configure your static IP
address.
1.4. VPN settings. Here you can set up and manage Virtual Private
Networks (VPNs). PocketBook IQ 701 allows you to use 4 types
of VPN connections:
•
PPTP;
•
L2TP;
•
L2TP/IPSec PSK;
•
L2TP/IPSec CRT.
