Check the following before Requesting Repair or Service

Problem

Primary cause

Solution

The power does not 

turn on.

The power cord is not 

• 

plugged into the outlet.

Plug the power cord into the outlet.

Not located in a flat 

• 

stable location (tip over 
switch activated).

Check the location and locate the 
unit in a flat, stable location.

Safety equipment 

• 

(thermal-fuse) is 
activated (See page 6).

Contact the sales outlet.

It stopped working

Safety equipment 

• 

(thermal-fuse) is 
activated (See page 6).

Contact the service center.

Turned off by the 

• 

thermostat (See Page 6).

Press the Reset button on the rear.

Turned off by the timer.

• 

Press the power button 

 

again.

Stopped by the auto 

• 

switch-off function.

Once 12 hours elapses the unit will 
shut off automatically, so press the 

 power button again.

It smells

The heater may have a 

• 

new product smell due 
to its internal coating.

The smell will disappear with use.

Buttons do not 

respond

The child lock is 

• 

engaged.

Cancel the child lock (see page 10).

The heater makes a 

rattling sound when 

moved.

Sound from the tip over 

• 

switch.

This is normal.

There are clicking 

and buzzing noises 

during use

The noises are from 

• 

electrical current and 
expansion/contraction 
of the heater.

This is normal.

Heater does not get 

hot

Operating in LO (low) 

• 

mode, or if in AUTO, 
the set temperature is 
lower than the room's 
temperature.

Make the AUTO setting higher than 
the room's temperature.

The remote control 

does not work

Is the battery worn out?

• 

Put a new battery in the remote.
(The battery that come with is for 
checking operation of the remote. 
Insert a new battery.)

The ter/- of the 

• 

battery are reversed.

Check the battery ter/- and 
put it in correctly.

Using it outside the 

• 

reception range of the 
remote.

Get closer to and at an angle to the 
receiver on the unit so it works.

The child lock is 

• 

engaged.

Cancel the child lock (see page 10) .
