Pour all liquid ingredients into the bowl first and then add the dry ingredients.
Always remain in the vicinity of the food processor during use. Always add
ingredients as close to the sides of the bowl as possible, not directly into the
rotating accessory.
Mixtures containing a lot of liquid should be blended at low speed. Do not
increase the speed until the mixture has thickened.
For heavy doughs, select medium speed. Switch the food processor off every
now and then in order to scrape the ingredients down from the sides of the
bowl using a spatula.
Shortcrust pastry is one of the heaviest dough types, but it may make it easier
to mix this type of dough if you:
- Add butter or margarine at room temperature.
- Add the ingredients one at a time and mix well between each ingredient.
- Add 100 ml of flour at a time.
If the machine struggles to stir the dough, increase the speed.
If something gets stuck in the accessory or the motor stops. Turn off the
appliance and unplug it. Deal with the problem or reduce the quantity of
mixture in the bowl. Leave the motor to cool down for 1 minute before
restarting the food processor.
The whisk is used for whisking egg whites, cream and so on. Do not use the
whisk to mix thick mixtures such as cookie dough or mashed potatoes.
The minimum the food processor can whisk is 2 egg whites/100 ml cream.
Prepare for whisking by completely submerging the whisk in the liquid. An
electric whisk is recommended for smaller quantities.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug before cleaning.
The bowl and accessories should be washed in hot water and detergent or in
a dishwasher. The motor unit must never be immersed in water or other fluids.
Wipe the motor section and the mixer head wiped with a damp cloth. Do not
use strong or corrosive cleaning agents. Dry all parts thoroughly before putting
the food processor away.
