Before use
Clean the delivered plates by hand and dry them well before inserting them
in the sandwich toaster.
Check that the switch of the sandwich toaster has not been plugged to a
wall outlet. Open the lid by pressing the locking button in the middle of the
handle. Select the plates you want (sandwich-, grill plates) and mount a
plate in the lower part by inserting the spikes at the long side of the plate
into the corresponding openings in the lower part of the appliance. Next,
click the plate to engage properly. Now mount the other plate in the lid in
the same way. Check that the plates are properly engaged.
Grease the plates with paper towel with a little cooking oil before you use
the plates for the first time.
Close the lid and plug to a wall outlet; the red lamp goes on to indicate that
the appliance is on. Let it preheat until the green lamp goes on (after about
3-4 minutes). Please note that smoke and odour may occur, when the
sandwich toaster is heated for the first time.
Sandwich plates
Open the sandwich toaster by pressing the locking button on the handle
and put the bread on the plates and close the sandwich toaster. Be aware
not to put too much filling between the sandwich slices as this may make it
difficult to close the handles.
After about 4-5 minutes, or when you find that the sandwiches are ready,
open the sandwich toaster and remove the bread by means of a plastic/
wooden utensil. Never use metallic utensils as they may damage the non-
stick coating.
Close the lid to keep the heat if you will still use the sandwich toaster.
Grill plates
If you want to use the sandwich toaster as a grill, start by mounting the
grilling plates in the sandwich toaster according to the instructions. Unfold
the small support on the lid and open the lid completely and raise it
somewhat upwards and unfold it to 180°.
