Connecting the dirt outlet
A, B
The water in the container can be drained via the DN 75 dirt outlet with slide valve at the bottom of the
container if required (for cleaning, repair, overwintering).
•
Connect a suitable DN 75 pipe and drain the dirty water into the sewer system.
T I P
It is possible to bring together pipe DN 75 and pipe DN 110 from the drum filter for coarse dirt
in order to drain the dirty water into the sewer system through a joint pipe DN 110.
This makes it more convenient to flush out the dirty water pipe with sufficient pressure.
4.3
Connecting the pond aerator
(Only pump-fed ProfiClear Premium XL drain module)
Use of aerator stones promotes water circulation in the container and is ideal for ensuring even bacte-
rial colonisation of the ClearWaves.
•
Recommended pond aerator: AquaOxy 1000 or 2000.
How to proceed:
E
1. Connect the hose from the pond aerator with the air connection and insert the air connection into
the recess of the container.
– For a
∅
4 mm air hose, use the 4/9-mm adapter.
– For connecting the AquaOxy 1000/2000, use the Y distributor.
– If necessary, secure the connections with cable ties.
5
Commissioning/start-up
How to proceed:
1. Close the slide valve for the DN 75 dirt outlet at the bottom of the container.
2. Check that the entire filter system (pipes and hoses) is complete.
3. Fill the container with water:
– Pump fed system: Switch on the filter pump.
– Gravity fed system: Open the slide valves (supply and return) of the filter series to allow the wa-
ter to flow.
4. Check all pipes, hoses and their connections for leaks.
– Expansion seals may leak initially until they have fully expanded on contact with water.
5. When all filter containers are filled with water, switch on the other electrical units (e.g. filter pumps).
If using filter starters (e.g. OASE BioKick), do not operate any UVC clarifiers for at least 24 hours so
as not to disturb the colonisation of the filter media by micro-organisms.

Clean the supply and/or return.
Water flow insufficient
Bottom drain, pipe or hose blocked
Clean, replace if necessary.
Hose kinked
Check hose, and replace if necessary.
