What is Ozone?
Ozone is an unstable gas with disinfecting and oxidising properties.
How is Ozone produced?
A fan draws air containing oxygen O2 in through the top of Sterilizer 3000. In the machine a
generator cell breaks down oxygen molecules using electrical discharges which then recom-
bine to form Ozone O3 molecules.
How does it work?
When Ozone comes in contact with substances that cause odours or allergens an oxidising
reaction occurs that neutralises the contaminant.
What happens to the Ozone?
Ozone is an unstable gas that reverts back to Oxygen after the treatment process.
Can Ozone damage materials?
No, the Ozone concentration and time periods recommended for odour and allergen removal
are determined not to affect other materials.
