9.4 Advantages of burst mode for HBC and PFC simultaneously
The TEA1613T provides a burst mode system that simultaneously switches the HBC and
PFC. In this way, during the burst period, the power is transferred directly from the input to
the output. The HBC determines the repetition time of the burst and the PFC follows. In
the burst period, the PFC operates in normal regulation.
Power consumption is further reduced by PFC bursting. Examples of results obtained are
