CALIBRATION AND NECESSARY EQUIPMENT

       The SORS is factory calibrated and use of the following procedures is not 

required in daily operation.  The following equipment is required to calibrate the 

Stereo Optical Recorder: An audio signal source whose distortion is less than 

0.05%;   a   digital   voltmeter;   a   distortion   analyzer;   oscilloscope   and   frequency 

counter.  The distortion analyzer should be band limited to 20kHz at its input to 

eliminate  high  frequency  clock   signal  feed  through.    (Note:  All  measurements 

made during the calibration of the unit are made between the stated test point 

and the system ground.  A convenient ground is provided as a loop of bare wire 

labeled GND on the PC board.)
