The new proper way to setup a conference call with more than one person conferenced in is

Pick up 

If you are in the same office as someone in your department you have been assigned to a pick up 
group.  This means if you hear that person or persons phone ringing you can answer the call from 
your desk.

Pick up your receiver. 

2.

 

Press the PICK UP key. 

** Remember if you look at the display of your phone once you have pressed call pick up it will 
tell you who'’ call you have just answered.  Also if there is more than one phone ringing in your 
group it will answer the phone that rang first. 
 
 

Intercom 

This allows you to speak to someone in your department by not using your extension. 
 

1.

 

Pickup your receiver or your handsfree key. 

2.

 

Press your INTERCOM key (the key that reads I/C then a 2 digit #) 

3.

 

Dial the person you are trying to reach using their 2digit intercom #. 

 
These calls will just ring on the person’s phone until they pick it up. (It will not forward to 
voicemail or to anyone else.)
