Dust covers are provided to protect the transceivers’ optics. It is highly

recommend that the dust covers be installed when a connector is not in place.

Installing and Removing SFP Dust Covers

RAID Controllers

The NexStor 4200F Series Storage System is designed to house one or two hot
pluggable embedded end-to-end 2 GB/sec Fibre Channel RAID Controllers. Theses
RAID Controllers are second generation FFx2 model high-performance mid-range
RAID controllers supporting full RAID level 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 10, 30, and 50
capabilities.

The RAID Controllers are designed for “I/O Intensive” and “Bandwidth Intensive”
applications, which provide configurations for simplex and duplex (dual-active)
operations in existing and future Fibre Channel topologies. In simplex operations,
the controller operates autonomously. In dual-active configurations, the two
controllers operate as a pair. In the event one controller fails, fault tolerance is
maintained via fail-over/fail-back allowing either controller to take over the
operations of the other controller. In a dual-active configuration, each controller
determines the existence and status of the other, through communication over the
backend Device FC Loop.
