TEST NMEA – collection of NMEA Interface Tests
In this mode Tester allows receiving all information incoming to presentation ports
of AIS station, such as pilot plug or from GNSS receiver. If it is necessary to
receive the information from pilot plug select the 38400 Baud rate, or select the
4800 Baud rate to check the vessel’s sensors (for example, GLONASS, GPS,
gyrocompass etc.).
The tester allows connection to interface with RS 422/485 or RS 232.
Step 1.
Receiver bit rate
: select bit rate:
38400 baud

for testing messages from
AIS stations;
4800 baud

to test vessel’s sensors.
Step 2.
Interface: (F1)
– select interface by
pressing
F1
key: interfaces are changed
sequentially RS232 > RS422/485.
Step 3.
Press
Enter
to start receiving
NMEA messages.
Received
messages
are
displayed
immediately. Every new message begins
from new line.

button to stop testing;
