1.0 GENERAL OPERATION
Press POWER key to switch counter on. Press and hold POWER
key to switch counter off.
Use
and keys to select a desired count mode of operation (section 2.0)
Use

keys to select a required denomination
Use ENT
key to abort count when the counter has banknotes or coins or reset current denomination
when the counter is empty. Press and hold ENT key to reset / save all running totals
Use AUTO
key to automatically detect (sections 2.8 & 2.9) or scroll denominations (sections 2.2 & 2.7)
Scroll direction:
Lower to higher denomination scroll symbol
Higher to lower denomination scroll symbol
Lower to higher and back to lower denomination scroll symbol
Press PRINT
key to display print options (section 7.0)
Press ESC
key to change loose banknotes tolerance (section 6.0)
Up to nine count modes of operation (sections 2.1 to 2.9) are available and can be enabled or disabled from
appearing on the main screen. Banknote and coin counter should be customised before use to only utilise the
required count modes. Refer to section 3.4 for details.
2.0 COUNT MODES
This section describes available count modes of operation. Select a required count mode using and keys
2.1 LOOSE BANKNOTES AND COINS
For counting loose banknotes refer to section 2.2
For counting loose coins refer to section 2.7
2.2 LOOSE BANKNOTES
Select denomination using and keys
Place up to 100 banknotes of the same denomination on the note counter.
Add more banknotes or remove some banknotes if necessary
Final count will be registered when all banknotes are removed from the note counter
(AUTO key can be used to enable automatic indexing of denominations after a count is registered)
2.3 PACKAGED BANKNOTES - FLATS
(10 banknotes of the same denomination retained with elastic band, paper strap, clip, etc)
Select denomination using and keys
Place a pack of 10 banknotes on the counter. Add or remove one pack at a time if necessary
“OVER” or “UNDER” warning will appear if a pack contains more or less than 10 banknotes
Final count will be registered when all banknotes are removed from the note counter
(Packaging items such as elastic bands, clips, etc. may have to be calibrated before use (section
5.3)
2.4 PACKAGED BANKNOTES - BUNDLES
(100 banknotes of the same denomination retained with elastic band, clip, etc.)
Select denomination using and keys
Place a bundle of banknotes on the counter. Add or remove one bundle at a time if necessary
Final count will be registered when all bundles are removed from the note counter
(Packaging items such as elastic bands, clips, etc. may have to be calibrated before use (section
5.3)
2.5 PACKAGED BANKNOTES – SLEEVES (SLEEVED BUNDLES)
(100 banknotes of the same denomination retained with paper or plastic strap)
Operation is identical to Bundles above

2.6 PACKAGED BANKNOTES – BUNDLED FLATS
(10 flats, each retained with one elastic band plus 2 elastic bands retaining the 10 flats)

2.7 LOOSE COINS
Banknote and Coin counter is supplied with a scoop, used only for counting loose coins.
Select denomination using

Place either an empty scoop or scoop with coins on the coin counter
Add more coins of the same denomination or remove some coins if necessary
Final count will be registered when the scoop with coins is removed from the coin counter
(AUTO key can be used to enable automatic indexing of denominations after a count is registered)
2.8 PLASTIC BAG COINS
(Bagged coins of the same denomination)
Select denomination using and keys
Place a single bag of coins on the coin counter. Add or remove one bag at a time if necessary
Final count will be registered when all bags are removed from the coin counter
For automatic denomination recognition of standard bag quantities:
Press AUTO key (“A“ symbol will be displayed)
Place a bag of coins (correct denomination will be displayed). Remove the bag to register a count
(Automatic detection will recognise bags that have up to 2 extra coins or short of 2 coins)
2.9 PAPER ROLLS COINS
(Wrapped Coins of the same denomination). Operation is identical to Plastic Bag Coins above
3.0 SETUP MENU
Press and hold POWER
key
to switch note and coin counter off. Press ESC key to enter setup menu
3.1 STANDBY TIME
To save battery power, banknote and coin counter will enter standby after a period of inactivity determined
by STANDBY setting. Select shortest practical standby time

3.2 CONTRAST
Use and keys to change LCD contrast to personal preference
3.3 BACKLIGHT TIME
LCD backlight uses significant amount of battery power. The backlight will be switched off after a period of
inactivity determined by BACKLIGHT setting. Select shortest practical backlight time
Use and keys to change or disable backlight time
3.4 COUNT MODES SELECT MENU
Use and keys to highlight a required count mode
Press ENT key to enable or disable currently highlighted mode
A symbol indicates that the mode is enabled and symbol indicates that the mode is disabled
(At least 1 mode must be enabled in order to operate banknote and coin counter)
3.5 SET TIME AND DATE
Real time clock is used to record running totals for saving and printing counted data. For more information

4.0 NON-CASH ITEM COUNTER AND WEIGHING SCALES
Press and hold POWER key to switch counter off. Press key to alternate between counter and scales mode
4.1 NON-CASH ITEM COUNTER
Press AUTO key to calibrate items to be counted. Select sample quantity and start calibration
Place up to 3Kg of items to be counted on the item counter
(ENT key can be used to abort count if the counter has items or reset total if the counter is empty)
4.2 WEIGHING SCALES
Use and keys to change engineering units when the scales are empty
Place up to 3Kg of items to be weighed on the scales
(AUTO key can be used to tare the scales if necessary and PRINT key to print the result)
