Off Heading Monitor Settings

2.10 Off Heading Monitor Settings

The NAVITWIN IV can monitor the difference between the actual head-
ing from the active source and the set heading order in automatic steer-
ing modes. The set heading may either be received automatically from a
heading or track control system or may be entered manually.

Should the difference between the actual and set headings exceed the
alarm threshold, the “Off Heading Alarm” is raised.

To set the parameters for off heading monitoring:

For compliance with NAUT-AW/OSV class requirements for offshore ser-
vice vessels (OSV) the Off Heading Monitor and Heading Difference Mon-
itor functions must be deactivated.
