Trailer Safety

 11

Step One.  Inspect/Repair

Trailer must be inspected BEFORE EACH USE.

      WARNING

Read instructions below carefully for
inspecting and preparing the trailer.
Damaged or missing components
could result in injury to the operator,
bystanders, or property damage.

Important safety rules:

•

Replacement parts.

  If a part needs replacement,

only use parts that meet the manufacturer’s
specifications.  Replacement parts that do not meet
specifications may result in a safety hazard or poor
operation of the trailer.

Inspect and test the trailer thoroughly

1.  Check tires for proper pressure level.
2.  Check to be sure that all nuts and bolts are tight.

Step Two: Towing the pressure washer
trailer.

1.  Review the “Operation – Important Safety
Information”

 related to Transportation Safety provided

in this manual.

2.  Attach Pressure washer to vehicle hitch

a.  Attach trailer’s coupler to a class 4 or higher hitch

with 2” ball (only).

b.  Make sure coupler is installed completely and

insert safety pin.

Important:

When filled, the trailer sprayer has a tongue

weight of approximately 400lbs.  Ensure that the tow
vehicle is properly equipped to handle this load.

3.  Attach safety cables and lights.

Two safety cables must be used while towing.

 Attach breakaway switch.

Pull pin out of breakaway switch and route through
safety cable latch point, then through the cable loop.
Re-insert the cable into the switch.

Important:

When not towing the trailer the pin must

be installed in breakaway switch.  Failure to have pin
installed will drain your pressure washers battery.
Never use breakaway switch as a parking brake.

Attach

lights.

Plug 7-way pin connector into vehicle.

4.  Put jack up

Crank the jack into the up position before towing.

5. Transport

It is recommended that the pressure washer
trailer be towed at speeds less than 60mph.

Important safety instructions

•

Added length

.  Be aware of the added length of

the sprayer.

•

Rough terrain

.  Drive slowly and take extra

caution when traveling over rough terrain.

•

On public roads

.  When towing on a public

road, make sure to comply with all local, state,
and federal towing requirements.  It is the sole
responsibility of the purchaser to obtain licensing
and signage, as needed to comply.

•

Unattended

.  Turn off the towing vehicle before

leaving the trailer unattended.

•

Under the influence

.  Never tow or operate this

pressure washer while under the influence of
alcohol, drugs, or medication

.

6.  Leaving unattended

If the trailer must be left unattended at any time

:

•

Turn off the vehicle.  Set brake or block the

wheels.
