Nortel VPN Router Installation — VPN Router 2700
For detailed information about configuring and managing the VPN Router 2700,
refer to the documentation on the VPN Router software CD.
Testing the configuration
After you assign a management IP address to the VPN Router 2700, start your
Web browser to verify that you can access the gateway from the browser.
To manage the VPN Router 2700 using the GUI, your PC must be running one of
the following browsers:
• Windows 2000 and NT
— Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
— Mozilla 1.7 or later
— Firefox (all versions)
— Netscape 7.x, 8.0.x or 8.1.x
• Unix
— Firefox 1.5 or later
— Mozilla 1.7 or later
• Linux
— Firefox 1.5 or later
— Mozilla 1.7 or later
To test the management IP address on the VPN Router 2700:

Open a Web browser.
2 In the URL field, enter
http://
followed by the management IP address that
you assigned to the VPN Router 2700.
For example, if the management IP address is 10.2.3.2, enter
http://10.2.3.2
.
If the Welcome screen appears, you correctly configured the management IP
address for the VPN Router 2700.
Note: If the Welcome screen does not appear, see “Troubleshooting” on
page 58 .
