6.3.6 Codec
The CODEC is used to digitize and code the signal from the analog microphone.
The Smart Remote 3 uses the ES8218 CODEC from Everest Semiconductor, that utilizes a two-wire interface for
setup commands. The microphone signal is transferred to the nRF chip via I
2
S interface.
