Safety:
Read and understand the plow
instruction manual before use.
Scan the QRC instructional
videos on the first page or watch
the videos on our website before
use. (
www.nordicplow.com
)
Always instruct other users
before they use the plow.
Operation:
Risk of Injury
Never allow children to
handle the plow.
Never allow anyone to walk
beside or sit on the plow
when in use.
Never operate the plow
over 1 to 2 mph. Keep a
slow steady speed.
If you hit an obstruction,
immediately stop vehicle
and reverse direction.
Watch the end markers
closely - if they tilt sharply
forward, stop and check for
an obstruction.
The bungee cords and/or
straps are too tight if blade
does not rest on the ground.
Instruction Clarification:
STEP 1:
Make sure the word
"Plow" on Part #5 is positioned
as shown.
STEP 2:
Assemble only one set
of parts shown loosely by hand.
STEP 3 & 4:
Push assembly
into the channels of Part#2 and
bring outside to your car. Part#6
should be bolted into the slot
that allows for it to touch the
bottom of the bumper when the
blade is in the upright position
as shown in Step 4.
STEP 5:
Fasten tightly both
sets of cogs to cog plates once
the proper position has been
determined. See
STEP 8
.
STEP 6:
The extender plates
(Part#3) gives the plow its right
or left angle. Determine your
angle
preference
before
assembly.
STEP
9:
Make sure the long
tabs with holes on the blades are
all facing the same direction.
STEPS 12A & 12B:
Place the
assembled parts on right or left
side of the plow to match angle
chosen. The Cog should be
adjusted right or left to match
the curve of your bumper as
shown.
STEP 16:
Begin inserting both
straps together with words
facing down into the bottom
chamber on the AUTO side of
Part#5 as shown.
STEP 17:
Make sure the
bungee cords (Part#11) are
attached to the springs of your
vehicle and not your fender.
Straps should be tight while the
plow is in the upright position
while cog is 1 inch (2.5cm)
below the bumper.
FAQ’s
How long will the plow last?
The lightweight design and
rounded edge technology
significantly reduces friction and
wear of the blade. The bottom
edge will show signs of pits and
scratches due to the gravel or
blacktop but will not degrade
the blade. Each blade is
reversible for added longevity.
Where is the cutting edge?
The Nordic Plow works
extremely well without a cutting
edge.
The
Plows
angle
combined with its weight and
that of the machine and operator
provide significant force tight to
the ground. This force allows for
a clean sweep of snow, slush,
mulch, dirt, etc. The plow may
not pick up hard packed down
snow or ice.
Can I use it on uneven
surfaces or grass?
Yes
–
our rounded edge blade
can be used on paver bricks,
sidewalks, grass, gravel and
most uneven surfaces without
causing damage to the blade or
surface being plowed.
Will the plow leave marks on
the pavement?
No - the Nordic Plow is made of
a composite material that will
not leave marks on your
driveway, unlike traditional steel
plows that can leave rust and
scratches on the pavement.
Trouble Shooting & Tips:
Straps Falls from Door Jam:
Tape the strap to the door near
the clip using electrical tape.
Blade Bounces when in
Reverse:
Tighten the bungee cords.
Using a Small Car:
Consider removing the center
blade section for smaller cars.
