Safety Instructions
Please carefully read all the following information, it contains important
instructions for the safety, the use and the maintenance of the appliance. Take
good care of the operating instructions and pass them onto any future owner.
Repairs on electrical appliances must be made by trained technicians only.
Improper repairs can lead to considerable hazards for the user. The manufacturer
shall not be liable for any damage which is caused by improper use or incorrect
operation. The user of the appliance is urgently requested to observe the following
instructions..
WARNING !
Do not use this appliance near bathtubs,
showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
- When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity
of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
- For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the
electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advise.
- Do not use if there are any visible signs of damage to the appliance.
- Always ensure that your power supply voltage matches this appliance’s rating
label.
- Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
- Do not pull on the mains cable, but rather on the plug, to separate the appliance
from the mains socket.
- Do not pull the mains cable over sharp edges, heated hotplates, open flames or
use it for carrying.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do not place the appliance in places that are easy to reach by children.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains socket before cleaning. Clean the
appliance with a dry or moist cloth only. Never immerse the appliance into water.
- If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer,its service
agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This metal plates are hot when in use. Do not let eyes and bare skin touch the
heated surfaces.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Operation
1. Connect your hair straightener to the power socket. Slide the power switch to the
ON position to switch it on; slide the power switch to the OFF position to switch it on.
2. The metal plates will be heated up to a certain temperature. After approx. 30
seconds the hair straightener is ready to use.
3. Hinged lock, easy for storage.
Hair Straightening
Before straightening your hair, treat your hair with recommended salon products.
To protect your hair during the straightening process you can apply a styling/
protection treatment.
When using these products, please read the instruction for use carefully.
1. Treat hair with professional protection treatment.
2. After use, wash your hair thoroughly, dry it and comb through. Only straighten
dry hair, please be aware that fine hair reacts particularly fast to the treatment.
3. Separate out sections of hair. The thinner the section is the more intense the
straightening will be.
4. Apply hair treatment if necessary.
5. Place the section between the ceramic heating plates at the hairline.
6. Now glide the hair straightener from the hairline to the end of the hair. Do not
hold the straighteners for more than 2 seconds at any one place on your hair.
7. Repeat until the desired effect is achieved.
8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 with the remaining sections.
9. Unplug when you have finished the treatment.
10. To fix the style, apply styling treatment to each section.
Using the appropriate professional products can intensify the straightened effect
and shine.
Cleaning and care
To ensure continued function and performance of the appliance, clean the
appliance regularly.
