CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Make sure the humidifier is turned off and unplugged.
Remove the hot plate cover. Caution: the hot plate may be
hot, avoid contact.
Empty any residual water from the water tank and the base.
Then rinse the water tank.
Wipe the water tank and base clean with a cloth or towel,
then replace the hot plate cover.
Repeat the first 3 operations of
Daily Maintenance
.
Add a small cup (about 200 mL / 6 1/2 oz) of undiluted white
vinegar or cleaning solution into the water tank and let it sit for
20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, pour out the cleaning solution and rinse the
water tank with warm water.
Wipe the water tank and base clean with a cloth or towel,
then replace the hot plate cover.

Follow the FILTER REPLACEMENT instructions (page 13) but do
not dispose of the filter.
Fill the water tank halfway with water then add a
½ tablespoon (7.4 mL) of chlorine bleach.
Swirl the solution in the water tank for a few minutes to ensure
that the full interior has been covered.
Let the solution sit in the water tank for 20 minutes.
Empty the water tank and rinse it with water until no
disinfectant smell is present.
Wipe the water tank and base clean with a cloth or towel to
remove any calcification or white dust deposits and replace
the hot plate cover. Do not clean the base with any abrasive
materials.
Unscrew the filter valve, reconnect the ion exchange filter to
the filter valve, and re-screw the connected piece back into
the bottom of the water tank.
