10 Wi-Fi coverage
This chapter describes optimal mounting location for a maximum Wi -Fi coverage.
The location and orientation that you choose for the FZ Indoor Pico play a critical role in
the performance of your wireless network. In general, it is recommended to install the
module away from obstructions and sources of interference.
Due to the design tradeoffs required to produce a small, low-cost product, a minor
amount of sensitivity degradation is expected from the WiFi Tx under certain conditions
and LTE/WiFi band combinations. Care should be taken during deployment to configure
the WiFi network to use channels with as much frequency separation from the LTE band
as possible.
Care should also be taken to maximize the distance between WiFi and other unlicensed
devices to the FZP in order to minimize the opportunity for interference and performance
degradation. If interference is observed or suspected from other RF devices, Nokia
recommends increasing the distance between the FZP and interfering device as much
as possible to preserve FZP performance.
