Frequency
response
For X15 variants, the frequency response of the wavelength modulation feature
differs from that of the E15/C15/Y10 variants. The graphs in
Figure 14
(X15) and
Figure 15
(E15/C15/Y10) shows the response when the modulation signal varies
from 1 to 100 kHz.
X15 variant frequency response
Figure 14
shows the measured frequency response of an X15 variant for both
wide and narrow ranges:
•
Wide – 600 MHz tuning at low frequencies with a smooth roll-off to a 3 dB
cut-off at 300 Hz.
•
Narrow – 30 MHz tuning with a slight peak at ~3 kHz.

E15/C15/Y10 variant frequency response
Figure 15
shows the measured frequency response of the E15/C15/Y10 variants
for both wide and narrow ranges:
•
Wide – E15/C15 – 8 GHz with a 3 dB cut-off at 200 Hz
Y10 – 10 GHz with a 3 dB cut-off at 200 Hz
