The Shield is designed to interface with the Arduino compatible headers on the
chipKIT development board. To mount the shield, orient the pins correctly over
the Arduino headers and press down on the shield until the shield is seated fully.
There ​ ​ should ​ ​ be ​ ​ no ​ ​ unconnected ​ ​ pins ​ ​ below ​ ​ the ​ ​ shield.
