PREPARATIONS FOR USING THE MACHINE
3.1
Lifting and transporting the packed machine
For easy transport, the machine is supplied in a carton provided with recessed grips
.
Handle it with care, thus
avoiding any damage by shocks and tilting.
3.2
Controls to be made on delivery
When delivery is made by a forwarding agent, control carefully the condition of the packaging and make also sure
of the perfect condition of the machine. Should the machine show any signs of damage, make immediately a
complaint to the forwarding agent about it and accept
the consignment only subject to a written application for in-
demnification.
3.3
Unpacking the machine
Take the machine from the packaging as follows:
Cut the adhesive tape and remove it.
Open the carton.
Check the documents for completeness:
- Instructions booklet
- Guarantee certificate
- Service organization listing
Take out the enclosed loose accessories.
Take out the transport safety insert.
Lift the machine by seizing the handle on the motor head.
Dispose of the carton and the packaging material.
3.4
Electrical connection
The type plate indicates the electrical features of the machine.
Ensure that the available mains frequency and voltage comply exactly with the data indicated on the
type plate. As regards the voltage, please note that all 230V-models are suitable to be used with volt-
age values of 220, 230 or 240V. However, as regards the frequency, no deviation is allowed.
Any nonobservance of the present prescription can cause serious injuries to persons and material losses
and, in addition, it forfeits the quarantee.

USING THE MACHINE
(IC 371, IC 621, IC 622, IC 622 Air Wave
®
, IC CRAFTER)
4.1
General Operation
1. Place plug in socket.
2. Connect the suction hose.
3. Connect the required accessory. Switch the machine ON.
4. When the maximum liquid level in the tank is reached, the float valve will automatically close the intake aper-
ture in the hood
as a result of the sudden loss of suction pressure. Switch OFF and unplug the machine.
Empty the tank.
5. For vacuuming dirt of all kinds at the same time
,
please use the cartridge filter (optional accessories)
6. When using the machine for dry vacuum cleaning,
please make sure that the textile filter is inserted.
7.
IC 622 Air Wave
®
and
IC CRAFTER
are equipped with the Air Wave
®
system, allowing to change between
higher air flow or a higher depression according to the applications. Thanks to this system the vacuum cleaner
reaches the same water lift than a machine with double nominal power.
Lever left
(higher air flow): in this configuration the air flow of every single motor is added to the others, while
the depression remains the same. For dry and light material such as soil dust, talcum powder, grains and plas-
tic swarf or to pick up slightly thick liquids in small quantities.
Lever right
(higher depression): in this configuration the vacuum cleaner can reach a 60% higher depression
than a single motor machine while the air flow increases by 10%. For heavy debris such as rough crushed
stones, metal swarf and thick liquids.
W a r n i n g !
Should any foam or liquid appear at the outlet openings, switch the machine OFF immediately. Empty the tank
and fill in approx. 1 litre defoamer.
Carry out a function check on the float unit, before switching ON the machine again.
Since the
Air Wave
®
system creates a great depression, damage or dents at the tank can cause implosion of
the tank itself, for this reason it is advised to periodically check the conditions of the tank.
Do not use to pick up liquids with full open suction or solids with full closed suction.
