INSTALLATION OF ICP 10 IN ENAMEL
WATER HEATER
1.
Drain the water heater, if necessary.
2.
Remove any existing magnesium sacrificial anodes.
3.
Screw in the titanium anode and install the earth
washer.
NOTE
The threaded sleeve is supplied with a PT-
FE sealing ring. If this sealing ring is dam-
aged, the joint must be sealed with thread
sealant, such as tow or PTFE thread tape.
4.
Place the fork terminal on the cable marked earth
connection on the earth washer.
5.
Install the flat pin sleeve on the titanium anode’s flat
pin (2) and the connection cable on the water heater
(1).
6.
Attach the large female connection to the large flat
pin and the small one to the small flat pin on the
voltage converter.
7.
Fill the water heater with water and check that it is
sealed.
8.
Check that the indicator lamp on the voltage convert-
er is green, see page

Installation of ICP 10 in the Eminent 55 -E
As there is a risk of the anode moving towards the im-
mersion heater or the hot water pipe in Eminent 55 -E
when installing ICP 10, the anode must be bent as illus-
trated here.

FUNCTION CHECK
Function check, anode
Check the polarity. The operating voltage U should be
greater than +2,3 VDC. This measurement must be
made with the tank filled with water and the mains-
powered voltage converter connected.
Caution
ICP 10 is only active when the tank is filled with
water.
• Indicator lamp green: Mains voltage is connected and
ICP 10 is ready for operation.
• Indicator lamp not on: Probably no mains voltage.
• Indicator lamp flashes red: Malfunction in the system.
NOTE
If the indicator lamp starts to flash immediately
after installation, it is probably due to incorrect
installation. To perform troubleshooting, see
the section "Dealing with malfunctions", page
DEALING WITH MALFUNCTIONS
NOTE
Electrical installation and service must be car-
ried out under the supervision of a qualified
electrician, and in accordance with applicable
electrical safety regulations.
Many faults can be identified by checking the system’s
DC voltage, current, polarity, insulation and resistance,
and are easily resolved. Disconnect any immersion
heater from the mains. The checks described may only
be carried out by authorised electricians.
Indicator lamp not on
Check that the voltage converter is connected to the
mains supply.
• Mains supply failure.
