Ethernet Ports on the NI 8236
The NI 8236 provides two standard Gigabit Ethernet ports (Port 0 and Port 1) to acquire images
from GigE Vision cameras. The NI 8236 can power PoE-capable cameras when connected to
the power supply of the computer. When the NI 8236 is providing PoE, the LED that
corresponds to the port will be lit. Figure 2 depicts the PoE LEDs on the NI 8236.

Each Ethernet port on the NI 8236 has two Ethernet LEDs that indicate the connectivity status
of the port. See Figure 3 for the location of these LEDs.
