Connectivity
Android ™ requires an active data connection. If not included in
the SIM contract, data connections will be charged in bill, so it is
suggested to use WiFi to establish an internet connection.
To enable SIM data connection select
Settings > SIM
management > Data connection.
Connecting to the Internet
You can connect to the internet using WiFi. To activate it, select
Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi
and enable. In order to
set the WiFi and manage the known access point use
Wi-Fi
settings
. Please follow all the warnings and directions given by
authorized personal where the wireless devices are limited, like
on planes or in hospitals. Switch to
Flight mode
in order to use
only applications that don’t use any network access.
Google Account
The Android™ main applications use the services provided by
Google account, therefore an account is needed for these
applications to work. These applications are:

Contacts (Gmail contact synchronization)
o
Calendar (Gmail calendar synchronization)
o
Gmail (Gmail mails synchronization)
o
Gmaps (personal informations and starred places access)
o
Gtalk (Instant Messaging by Google)
o
Latitude (GPS position sharing)
o
Market (Also web-manageble)

Connecting to the Internet
From the
Menu
screen, choose
Browser
. The
default
browser
for
Android™ will be launched.
Type the URL in the
address bar to start the navigation.
Thanks to the
Gmail™
account synchronization, email
management is easy and the e-mail download is automatic. If
you need to use another mail service provider, please configure
an account in the
application.
How to use Bluetooth
Connecting to a Bluetooth device
1.
Turn on the Bluetooth™ device to which you want to
connect. Where necessary, refer to the documentation
of the device.
2.
From the Menu screen, choose
Settings > Wireless and
networks
.
3.
Turn Bluetooth on.
4.
Select
Bluetooth settings
to automatically start the
Bluetooth devices search.
5.
Select the device name to associate with, and then
choose
Associate
. The phone will try to connect to the
device, and eventually ask for the pairing code.
