Browsing web pages

BlackBerry Wireless Handheld

The requested web page appears. The download progress of the page that you are 
trying to view appears at bottom of the screen. 

Requesting

 indicates that the 

browser application is requesting content from the web site. 

Loading

 indicates 

that the web page is currently loading on your handheld. To stop loading the web 
page, click the trackwheel to view the menu and click 

Stop

.

To open web pages using web page 
addresses

1. On the Home screen, click a browser

 

icon. The startup screen appears.

2. Click the trackwheel to view the menu. Click 

Go To

. The Go To dialog box 

appears.

3. Type the address of the web page that you want to view. Press the

To open web pages using bookmarks

1. On the Home screen, click a browser

 

icon. The startup screen appears.

Note: 

If 

Get Link

 does not appear on the menu, you might not have selected a link 

correctly. Select the link again and click the trackwheel to view the menu. Click 

Get 

Link

. You have correctly selected an image link when the image’s colors are reversed.

Depending on your browser configuration, the Browser Bookmarks screen might 
appear when you start a browser application. You might be able to set a different 
default subfolder that appears each time that you start a browser application. Refer to 
"To set a default subfolder" on page 163 for more information.

Note: 

Depending on your Nextel service plan, you might not be able to use the Go To 

dialog box. Contact Nextel Customer Care for more information.
