3.2 Ionisation cell

Dimensions:
Length 275 Height 180 mm Depth

152 mm.

Each cell has two PVC end fittings with

inside diameter of 50 and outside diameter of
63. These end fittings must be affixed to the by-
pass on the filtration circuit using PVC glue.

Assemble the ionisation cell in by-pass as
shown on the diagrams above with three
valves on the pump backflow circuit and
between the pump and the filter.

Warning, the bypass valves must be open to
allow the water to pass through the ionisation
cell before STERILOR Cu/Ag is started up.

The ionisation cell must have

water flowing

through it

 when STERILOR Cu/Ag is operating.

The cell should preferably be installed
horizontally, at 45° towards the top. This
position avoids condensation running down
onto the connectors.

Effectively, the electrode connectors must not
be in contact with water. Non-compliance with
this guideline may result in premature
corrosion of the connectors and premature
deterioration of the cell.

The STERILOR Cu/Ag electrodes are
manufactured in accordance with specific
specifications with proportions of copper and
silver guaranteeing the expected result.

3.3 Cu/Ag electrodes

Connect the cable to the box see chapter 2.1.4.
Electrode installation:
Before installing the electrodes, check that the cap
on the electrode rod is properly tightened. There
must be no space between the rod and the
surface of the cap.
Place each electrode in the ionisation cell as
recommended below.
Screw them up by hand as sealing is provided by
an O-ring. Tighten them if you notice a leak when
the pump is started up.

Place the electrodes preferably in line with the
connectors of the same colour positioned
diagonally.
