Backhoe operations

General information

DANGER

Crushing hazard!
Keep clear of this area. A swinging boom can kill or seriously injure you. Start and operate the back-
hoe from the operator’s seat only. Do not place any loose objects inside the platform area.
Failure to comply will result in death or serious injury.

In order to operate the backhoe function and

reduce wear and tear and risk of injury, follow the following
checklist

Check list

The machine is designed with safety, durability and operating comfort in mind. Check off the list below and make the
adjustments where necessary.

1.

Be sure that all protective devices are installed.

2.

All safety and warning decals should be mounted, intact and clean.

3.

Check that all screws have been tightened.

4.

All axles, bolts and locking pins to mount the backhoe on the tractor should be installed. Check the tightness of
bolts and ensure that all pins are in good condition.

5.

Be sure that the tractor is in good condition.

6.

Lubricate the machine.

7.

Ensure that the control equipment is functioning correctly.

8.

Operate the cylinders slowly to clean air from the hydraulic system.

9.

Check the oil level –fill as needed.

Engine speed

The heavier the work that the backhoe has to do, larger volume of hydraulic oil the tractor’s hydraulic oil pump must
deliver. This oil volume is determined by the speed of the tractor engine (RPM, revolutions/minute). Start working at
low engine speed and then gradually increase the speed as needed.
