Note the following:
•
If two LAN ports form a link aggregation group (LAG), they must be assigned to the
same VLAN profile.
•
You can assign the WAN port to any VLAN profile.
To assign a port to another VLAN profile on the router (base) or satellite:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your
Orbi network.
2. Enter orbilogin.com.
A login window displays.
If your browser does not display a login window but displays a security warning and
does not let you proceed, see Resolve a browser security warning on page 28.
3. Enter the admin user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time
that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > VLAN / Bridge Settings.
The VLAN / Bridge Settings page displays.
For the router (base) and each satellite, the ports display on the page. The ports that
are connected are outlined in blue. Unused ports are outlined in gray.
5. In either the Base (router) or Satellite section, for the Ethernet port that you want to
change, select a VLAN profile from the VLAN Profile menu.
6. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.
Change the VLAN profile for a LAN
You can change the VLAN profile for a LAN.
Note the following:
•
The VLAN profile for LAN 1 is set and you cannot change it.
•
If a LAN is assigned to a VLAN profile, you cannot assign another LAN to the same
VLAN profile.
This also means that you cannot change the preset VLAN profile for LAN 2, LAN 3,
and LAN 4 until you add a new VLAN profile and assign LAN 2, LAN 3, or LAN 4 to
it. Doing so releases the preset VLAN profile so that you can assign a different LAN
to it.
