The Network Server comes complete with a detailed User Guide which is not
printed, but stored on the CD enclosed. Please refer to this as required.
It also comes with a printed Quick Installation Guide which provides initial
instructions to start using the server.
Please follow the instructions in the Quick Installation Guide to check the
contents of the package, to connect the cameras etc and server to the network,
and to load and commence using the server. To assist, you may find the dia-
gram opposite helpful in locating the appropriate sockets etc on the server.
When using the server, we recommend that you use the program “IP Edit”,
which has facilities for live viewing of up to 4 cameras. To take a photo or
commence video recording or time lapse photography, right click on the live
image, and follow the instructions on the screen.
Please note the following:
The server is equipped to accept up to 4 video inputs, and only one audio
input. It is not equipped with video output—the output is fed into your net-
work, and can be viewed by PCs and other devices via the network.
Once operating, the functions of “IP Edit” will be available from browsers on
any of the PCs or devices on the network or Internet, although some may re-
quire additional add-ons (or equivalent) to be installed. You may need to in-
stall the add-on “IP Video 9100A” to Microsoft Internet Explorer. This add
on should be installed automatically by Windows, and is available across the
Internet or on the CD supplied with the Network Server.
