Measuring AC Voltage
1. Connect the black test lead to the „
COM
” jack, and the red one to the „
„ jack,
2. Set the function/range switch to position.
3. Connect the test leads to the electrical source or load to be measured.
4. Read the reading on the LCD.
Measuring Current
Connect the black test lead to the „
1.
COM
” jack. If the current to be measured is less than 200mA, connect
the red test lead to the „INPUT” jack. If the current is between 200mA and 10A , connect the red test lead to
the „10A” jack instead.
Set the range switch to desired μA , mA or A range. If the the current magnitude to be measured is not
2.
known beforehand, set the range switch to the highest range position and then reduce it range by range
until satisfactory resolution is obtained.
Select DC current measurement or AC current measurement with the „
3.
FUNC
.” button.
Select auto range or manual range with the „
4.
RANGE
” button. In manual range, if the the current magnitude
to be measured is not known beforehand, select the highest range.
Connect test leads in series with the circuit to be measured.
5.
Read the reading on the display. For DC current measurement, the polarity of the red test lead connection
6.
will be indicated as well.
Note:
When the display shows the overrange symbol „
OL
”, a higher range has to be selected.
Measuring Current (with clamp, optional)
1. Set the function/range switch to the desired AC current range position.
2. Press the trigger and clamp the jaws around the conductor to be tested. Make sure that the jaws are perfectly
closed.
Note:
a. Each time only one conductor should be clamped.
b. The conductor should be in the center of the area closed by the jaws in order to get an accurate reading.
c. Don’t touch any naked conductor with your hand or skin to avoid electric shock.
3. Read the reading on the display.
Measuring Resistance
1. Connect the black test lead to the „
COM
” jack, the red test lead to the „
„ jack .
2. Set the function/range switch to the * range position, symbol „ *” appears on the LCD.
3. Connect the test leads across the load to be measured, read the reading on LCD.
Note:
1. If the resistance is above 1M*, it takes several seconds for the reading to stabilize. It is normal.
2. If the input terminals are in open circuit, overrange sign will be displayed on LCD.
3. Before measuring in-circuit resistance, make sure that the power supply of the circuit has been switched off
and all the capacitors have been discharged.
Measuring Capacitance
Connect the black test lead to the „
1.
COM
” jack and the red test lead to the „
INPUT
” jack.
Set the range switch to desired „
2.
1000μF
”,”
20μF
” or „
nF
” position.
