Installation and Operating Instructions:

Note:

Use this freezer for its intended purpose as described in this manual.

Before using the equipment, inspect for freight damage. Refuse delivery, if there

is any damage.

Remove the outer packaging, (cardboard and bubble wrap or Styrofoam corners

and clear plastic). Inspect for concealed damage. Again, immediately file a claim
with the freight carrier if there is damage.

Remove the unit carefully from crate. The unit is equipped with 6” or 8” wheels,

two swivel in back and two rigid wheels on front. Only Swivel wheels have a
locking mechanism feature.

Caution

- This unit contains R290, a flammable hydro-carbon

refrigerant.  While installing, moving, or using the freezer, do not disturb the
refrigerant lines, (bend, puncture, or apply heat).
If you notice anything unusual, find damage, or it is not functioning properly,
remove the unit from service, and call an HVAC technician certified to handle
flammable refrigerants.

A lid, care package and operating manual are located inside the freezer.

BDC-8 and similar freezers are equipped with one or two cold plates. The freezer

must be plugged in for 24 hours on first time use. Based on ambient temperature,
the eutectic solution inside the cold plate will freeze within 16 to 18 hours. For a
re-charge of a cold cart, allow 12 hours.

Freezer may be equipped with a Digital or Manual temperature controller. The

controller is preset for the proper temperature to satisfy the operation based on
the temperature of the cold plates ordered by the customer. No adjustments
should be necessary.

NOTE: When the freezer is charging or re-charging, the

temperature must run at negative -30 to -10 degrees F.  These cold
temperatures are required to freeze the eutectic solution to a solid state. If
not completely frozen, the plates will not hold the correct temperature for
10 hours after unplugging.

The controller is located behind the louver grill. For adjustment, remove the

louver. A flat head screw driver is needed to adjust the manual controllers.

A Wiring Diagram is located inside the condensing unit area. Remove the louver

grill to access the diagram.
